Somewhere between the offer and the closing table, we become a team. Inspections navigated. Appraisals protected. Deadlines managed. Emotions steadied. I came to selling houses from managing them and from new construction, which is an unusual way round and a useful one: I have leased buildings, run them, and sold homes that did not exist yet except on a plan.
